Update - Final Draft Complete!
It’s been a long time—too long. I’ve been busy with the new baby, but after a brief break from working on the book, I am happy to announce that the final draft of The Immortal Words is finished! Pop the champagne! A number of revisions have been made including removing two existing chapters entirely, scrapping and rewriting another two, adding two entirely new ones, and making sweeping edits across the board. At the end of it all, the first installment of The Age of Gods is a novel I’m quite proud to share with all of you!
With the novel finished, it’s time to begin the next step in the journey: submissions. Who knows how long it will take for the right agent to connect with these Immortal Words of mine. In the meantime, I’m ready to jump back into the second of three (probably) novels in the series. Since I first made the decision to split the book and cut the third and fourth parts eight months ago, I have been stuck in the world reading, re-reading, editing, and re-editing the same ~50 chapters, reliving the events of The Immortal Words like I’m stuck in a Groundhog Day scenario. Now that I’ve broken free of the time loop, it’s time to unfreeze the lives of Fen, Aleesa, Isabel, and Knox and allow them to continue their growth and journey! Amanda will be quick to testify that I have been obsessed with getting back into this book. I’ve been fine-tuning the outline and am beyond excited to bring it to life. I’ll fill you in with more details on that novel once you’ve had the chance to get your hands on the first!
I’ll keep you updated through the publishing process and promise to not let so much time pass between updates!
